I recently switched gyms and have been at my new one a week. Today I was doing my thing in the turf area and a I noticed another member who looked sort of familiar. He was focused on his workout and I didn’t interrupt him. Later, in the locker room he asked my name and then we realized we knew knew each other.
He was an employee at one of my business clients twelve years ago. The exact amount of time escapes me but I think we haven’t seen each other in ten years. After we talked a little, he said, “I see your posts on Facebook – I don’t post much myself. I just like to see what others are doing.”
I learned a lesson again that people are seeing my posts even though they may not share them or comment on them. Keep that in mind the next time you think no one is seeing your posts or reading them.
