At a client the other day I discovered a questionable process running on a laptop computer. It was configured to run automatically when the laptop starts. The owner researched the process and it was the bluetooth driver for the laptop. Bluetooth technology is a wireless communication for connecting computers to printers, smartphones and other devices.
My client said they said they definitely do not have any bluetooth devices in the office connecting to the laptops so this process is unnecessary. My client is very security conscience and went a step further and requested I disable it. This way, unknown bluetooth devices can’t connect or hackers can’t connect to the laptop.
