I got a phone call this morning from a current client who couldn’t use an old laptop. An attempt was made over the phone to correct the problem and it didn’t solve it. They couldn’t tell which cable was the power cable so I made a service call. In this case remote control software can’t help us. When I arrived I couldn’t find the power cable right away. It wasn’t plugged into the laptop and it was eventually found on the desk behind the two laptops. My client previously moved the laptop from it’s original position and the power cable came out. We got the cable lengthened and re-connected and now the laptop was running. My client was embarrassed when I showed them what they had done.
