I had a business service call last month involving an inkjet printer which wouldn’t print. The user was receiving an error message on the printer’s display which said the printer or the printer system had failed. A service call to the business was made and I couldn’t repair the printer.

Technical support was called because it was under warranty and after following their procedures, they confirmed that it was deceased. Since it was under warranty, a replacement printer was shipped to my client. This did nothing for their printing needs until the replacement arrived.  Luckily, I brought a loaner printer with me and hooked it so they could print.

If I hadn’t brought one, they would have been in trouble since this business prints invoices, emails, contracts, checks and work site plans often. That’s why suggest to businesses to have a back-up printer available for emergencies.
