Previously I wrote about my Chrome computer’s keyboard problem. The volume buttons don’t work as they once did. The other keys work fine and tonight I started looking at the Chrome OS settings. I opened the Bluetooth settings under the taskbar and searched for anything related to volume, sound or audio. What I found was interesting – a setting that offered to change the behavior of the top row keys. It offered to switch them to a function mode or not. Once this was disabled, the volume keys started working again! I don’t know how this got turned on, but I now know how to disable it if needed.
