Some servers and connectivity devices have default accounts and usernames. This would be “admin”, “administrator” or “user”. Hackers and people in the know are aware of these and may use methods to acquire the passwords for them. To make your setting more secure, it’s a good idea to create different names for them. Then you can disable the default accounts or don’t use them. Then monitor them for unauthorized access.
If you don’t disable the accounts, at least change the default passwords to make it harder for unauthorized people or bots to access them. MAke it hard for hackers to get into your computers and devices.
