The dominant subject I hear in the news lately is Artificial Intelligence. In the newsletter emails I receive there are many articles on Artificial Intelligence (AI). From what I know it’s a way computers can predict the future based on past events. I’ve heard it’s a way to help replace humans with machines in the workplace. It’s also used to predict our behavior in the area of surveillance.
I’ve been ignore these articles because the media is sugar-coating AI and hoping we will accept it without question. Another reason is my computer clients haven’t asked me about AI and as far as I know they don’t need help with it if they are using it.
