On a computer service call last year I was talking to a long-time computer client.  He made the correct observation about me taking care of business.  I’m an independent computer consultant who doesn’t have a steady paycheck as in a job.  I only get paid when I have a service call in person, over the phone or via remote control. 

When I solve computer problems or install new equipment I usually won’t hear from my client for a while.  Mainly because I don’t leave a service call or project until it’s done and I test it.  I have my client check and test my work so I know it’s done and they are happy.  Before I leave I always ask if there is anything else they need.
