One way I attempt to stay up on computer technology is subscribing to various digests through email. Some of the newsletters are from TechRepublic, AskWoody Tech, and PCWorld. When I find one I want to keep permanently, it gets saved as a PDF and I save it on my server and then on my phone. This way I can read them as I need.
I’ve been doing this for twenty years and I’ve got quite a collection of articles. Before I saved articles in PDF form I cut them out of printed magazines and newspapers. I then put them in a real file cabinet in folders. This was around 30 years ago.
