One of the keyboard shortcuts I’ve use since the 1990s for GUI interfaces is still applicable to 2023. It works for any Microsoft windows flavor and it works in most Linux distributions.  It’s the ALT-F4 combo.  Hold the ALT key down while pressing the F4 key.  The active windows should be closed or prompted to be closed.

On Apple/Mac computers I thought you would substitute the Command key for the ALT key. On my old MacBook Pro laptop, this doesn’t work. I’ll have to try it on my newer Apple laptop.

What keyboard shortcuts do you use to save time?
