One nice feature about LinkedIn, the professional social media platform, is the recommendations. You can write them for others and others may write them for you. They take more thought and time than the click-able endorsements LinkedIn offers, and they have more meaning to me. I have over 40 recommendations on my profile, yet I don’t know if my contacts know or care about them. Some of my LinkedIn contacts have turned into computer repair clients and I imagine my recommendations helped in some way. On another note, I want to start writing recommendations again for my contacts. Do you look at your contact’s recommendations when making decisions about hiring or using their services? Are you writing recommendations for them?
