I was at a new Fort Wayne computer repair client this spring doing some telephone and wiring closet work when I started thinking how I got this client.
It began on a Friday afternoon a month earlier when I received a long distance call from a central Indiana location. The caller was the CEO of an Indianapolis IT company who needed support at one of their Fort Wayne clients. He found my public LinkedIn profile which has 40 recommendations, various endorsements and 12 common connections between us. Links to my business website, Facebook, Twitter, Google and other social Media sites are also included.
This was all it took for him to see I could help his clients and I know what I’m doing. Take a look at your LinkedIn profile and consider if it is enough to impress someone to contact you for help. If it isn’t, start building it up and don’t forget to ask your contacts for recommendations.
