If you’re adventurous, Microsoft offers Windows 10 versions to testers and developers before the public sees them. You can sign up at the Windows Insider web site at insider.windows.com to get these versions. You must have a licensed copy to use the free service.  Microsoft warns theses releases may have bugs and issues so use at your own risk.

I signed up a few years ago and just recently had the Fall Insider Creator update installed on my old Lenovo laptop. I read about this version a few weeks ago and wasn’t sure if it had downloaded on its own.  To check if your computer is on the Insider program, look under Settings and see if “Windows Insider Program” is present.  I checked my Windows version under system-about and it was 1709, OS Build 16299.19. The Fall creator version is OS Build 17025.1000 so it wasn’t installed. To get it to download faster I changed the “What pace do you want to get new builds?” from slow to Fast under Windows Insider Program. Once this was done, the Fall Creators update installed over the next day.
