Last month, one of my long-time business clients was having problems with their Quickbooks accounting software. They were receiving database errors and they were looking for guidance. A service call was made and I first backed up their company file to one of my external drives. Then I made sure I could restore the backup to the hard drive which I could. Next, I wanted to run the file maintenance on the company file and looked under the File menu. It was found under Utilities and was called Verify data and rebuild data. Both of these were run and the errors ceased to happen. Most database programs like quickbooks have maintenance programs built-in which can usually solve problems with the databases.
