It’s surprising that my Galaxy S9 smartphone is four this month. Luckily, it’s still running well and allows me to communicate with clients and family. My fear is that the charging port will eventually fail and will require replacement. It’s been plugged and unplugged from many charging cords over the years and I don’t know how long it will last. To avoid charger port damage, I don’t transport the smartphone with a charger connected just in case it’s dropped.
It’s been in a protective case since day one and it’s been safe in the drops it’s sustained. Another fear is that Samsung will stop updating it and it becomes vulnerable to malware. It’s become important in my computer consulting business but I don’t want to have to buy another one when this one dies.
