I take many forms of payment like credit cards, cash, Venmo, Paypal, and the Cash App. Most of the time I get paid by check for my computer services and it goes very smooth.
This last two weeks I had a long-time client attempt to mail me a check to my business P.O. Box. I checked it a few times for a week and never received it. My client is usually prompt on payments so I texted them. Within minutes they called to say they mailed a check over a week ago. They stopped payment on the check and then tried to send another one.
A few days later they called and said the check came back in the mail because they forgot to put a stamp on the envelope! They just drove the check over to me the next day .
