Like many of you I get long distance soliciting calls and ones which are spoofed to display my telephone prefix (414). Sometimes, I don’t answer them and other times I do. I can’t avoid answering too often because I receive calls from new clients regularly and don’t want to miss them. A trick I will do is text or call the local numbers to verify the legitimacy when I don’t answer. Most of the time they say they didn’t call me. A couple of times I have been called by someone who claims I called when I haven’t. Then I know my number was spoofed. It’s sad that they have to trick us into answering the phone isn’t it?
