A little bit ago I was organizing and moving pictures from my smartphone to my Linux server. I try a do it once a month or so so I can archive them and keep the smartphone clean and mean. Everything was going well then all at once, clicking on the mouse buttons produced weird results.  If I right-clicked on a picture to rename it with the sub-menu, it would open it with a picture viewer.  Or another window would appear blinking rapidly.

I looked at the mouse case and cord thinking something was broke. This wasn’t it so the keyboard was inspected.  I found a plastic serving tray had contacted the spacebar and held it down.  In essence, the spacebar was continuously pressed which interfered with my mouse commands.  The serving tray was removed from the spacebar and the mouse went back to normal.
