My Lenovo laptop has been with me maybe two years. It came with Windows 11 and that’s why I bought it. I use it to learn Windows 11.  Additionally, my previous Windows business laptop was very old and slow. I still have it for Quickbooks and it gets used just for this person.

This isn’t the first time I’ve installed Linux on a laptop.  I’ve had Windows XP alongside Linux, Windows 7, and Windows 10.  The way to do it is leave Windows as it is on the hard drive.  Boot with the Linux media and let it do the work.  Linux recognizes Windows but Windows doesn’t know Linux.  This means I can boot into Linux and it can see the Windows OS and files on the laptop.  If the laptop hardware is not working right in Windows 11, Linux can be used to troubleshoot and determine if it’s a Windows issue or not.

I like Linux better than Microsoft Windows and now I can use my laptop for Windows 11 and with a reboot use Linux.
