I have a portable hair trimmer that we use for about a year or so. Lately, it’s been difficult to power on and off with the push-button. Part of the button broke off and was floating inside the case.
This morning I took the trimmer apart by removing 5 screws all together and pulling the head off the frame. The switch cover was found and it was broken off its base. It wouldn’t re-attach after attempting many approaches. I thought about trying to order a new one but decided against it becasue other parts were broke on the hair trimmer. I put a piece of electrical tape over the exposed circuit board and left the broken switch cover off the unit.
It can still be Powered on by pressing the power button on the circuit board with something slim through the open. One drawback is the blue LED indicator isn’t visible any longer and I can’t tell when charging is complete with the AC adapter. I’ll try it for now and see how it does.
