My laptop screen is blank.

This weekend a new person called me with a laptop problem.  His fairly new laptop stopped working and he wanted me to find out what happened.  He dropped it off on Saturday and Monday morning bright and early I was working on it.  I tried my different techniques including removing the battery, and each internal component.  The Solid State Drive was the problem and once it was taken out of the motherboard, the laptop miraculously starts up with the display working.  Some how it got shorted out or damaged and wouldn’t allow the laptop to work properly.  We ordered a new one and once it was installed the display works fine.
